The staff are very courteous and available for requests. The reason for some of the rating was the room was just above pool so we could hear everyone in the pool also the door that accessed the balcony over pool did not lock . When we asked that it be fixed we called twice the some finally came and said he couldn’t do anything and we didn’t need to worry because no one could access the room through balcony. We disagreed and put 2 chairs in front of door. The following morning I spoke with manager at desk and assured me it would be fixed and apologized. She was very professional and her understanding of our concern for our safety was appreciated.

Hotel room was dated and furniture needs replacing - chipped in some places. Bed was comfortable. Odd having sink in main living space. Front desk staff were not friendly - stand-off ish. Felt I was a bother every time I went - did not do anything above and beyond their duties. Taxi was late coming to hotel - I asked the agent if she could call them to confirm when they would be coming, she just gave me the tel # to call myself. In the end, the lovely hotel manager gave us a ride to station. Hotel pool was cold and reception rooms seemed dirty and not getting cleaned. Restaurant was nice - staff there were very nice.

On our family holiday we Quebec we made a 1 night stop in Drummondville to visit friends. It is close the the bus station and in walking distance of stores and restaurants. Staff were very nice an welcoming. The room and amenities were great. If we come again, we would stay there.

The personnel were great and easy to deal with. As I was speaking French to the lady She switch to English as soon as I was talking to my wife and explain what the counter lady said. That was GREATLY appreciated. The room we had was adjacent to the Pool and was obviously noisy as it was only a window that was in between the two sides. As we were returning the cards to the front desk I mentioned the noise from the pool and the young lady said to call them when booking and they will make sure NOT to put us by the pool area. GREAT review overall. Thanks and we will return for our next visit!!!

Toilet was broken and made sound for 10 minutes after flushing. You'd have to wait 5 minutes before you can even flush again. Soundproofing was terrible. We were right next to the indoor pool and you can hear everyone screaming - no peace. Windows don't have blackout blinds so it was also very bright when trying to sleep. The shower wasn't working either! Every few seconds the water would turn burning hot and then back to normal temperature. Also, the AC wasn't working!! We set it at 66F and it was still warm. There is only one vent and the air doesn't make it to the side of the room with the king size bed. Super disappointing that such a nice (and expensive room) had so many things not working properly.

This day was great ! The restaurant downstairs charged us almost 4 dollars for an apple for my two-year-old daughter when I asked to purchase one. I thought it was a bit outrageously priced for a toddler. The other notable thing would be both curtains were not blackout. It was very bright in the morning. It would need to be blackout blinds for us to return there again.

Best room service meal we've ever had at a hotel ever, amazing steak & mashed potatoes! Wonderful service staff - my only complaint is that bed was a lot stiffer than I was expecting and the pillows were very uncomfortable, otherwise the room was clean, and the hotel location is great. One other thing I would love to see at this hotel seeing its dog friendly there needs to be a better or larger grass area for dogs to go to the bathroom. A wonderful touch provided in our room without asking was having a dog pillow, water & food bowls, along with some treats and poop bag for the dog ~ excellent touch! We'll stay here again!

We had a great stay last time. This time, the room floor was gritty (felt like sand), the bathroom sink was out in the main bedroom area (we prefer the sink to be actually in the same room as the shower and toilet) the bedside lights were faulty (turning them to direct the light caused them to not work). When we asked for comp, we were told they couldn't offer anything because we booked with Expedia. As well, your listing with Expedia is misleading.....for several days before booking (and I even demonstrated this to the staff when we checked out), when entering search criteria with Expedia the advertised room price in the list of hotels shows a low rate ($140 approx) but when the hotel is selected, there are never any rooms for that price....everything starts at 159. This is misleading.

I understand that Quebec is a unilingual French province which is ok but the hotel needs to cater to their non French speaking customers. All the email correspondence was in French and it took some time to translate and understand the message. Would recommend that Le Daupin ensure all correspondence at least is in French and English at a minimum and the staff also have a rudimentary knowledge of English.

Staff was great, and informed me immediately about the water shutdown that morning and the associated issues. The water in the toilet kept running which added to the noise. I also had the first room after the main hallway door and always heard it at night opening and closing. I will remember to get a different room if I stay there again. The microwave is also too far away from the coffee machine and fridge. It's right by the door before the sink, which is outside the bathroom. Washroom layout is water closet style (toilet and standup shower), but very tight, the door barely clears the toilet. Strange because the rest of the room seems larger than it needs to be ( a lot of dead space) The standing shower also leaked at the bottom. The rubber seal was likely broken and needs to be replaced. The middle conditioner dispenser seemed empty. For the price, I paid too much for this room. Some hand lotion would also be nice. But it was easy to find, even though I took an early exit, coming from the Maritimes. It helps that there seems to be signs everywhere to guide you specifically to the Dauphin. Also, that one poutine place that every visitor is going to, is a very quick walk. The staff were the highlight for me. Quick, friendly, and let me know up front what the issues were.

Bien, le seul gros bémol est la climatisation ! Celle ci est centrale donc géré par l’hotel ( ce que ne savions pas ) Il faisait au moins 25 degré durant la nuit, TOUT le monde dans la chambre a mal dormi dû à la chaleur qui nous réveillait. Mous avons avisé le staff le lendemain en demandant peut être de valider si celle ci fonctionnait bien. On mous a repondu qu’il aurait fallu appeler pour les aviser … À 2 heures du matin disons que nous n’y avons pas penser et nous ignorons qu’il fallait aviser le staff en pleine nuit pour qu’il gère eux même le thermostat. Nous entendions également un bébé pleurer et le système d’alarme d’une voiture a l’extérieur donc vraiment pas bien isoler.

We travel from New Brunswick to Ontario (and back again) a few times a year. This is the perfect halfway point and we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Great price and the hotel is impeccable. It is also super close to the highway for a quick on/off and it is also very close to whatever you may need (coffee shops, grocery store, pharmacy....Canadian Tire in case your car battery dies like ours did and needed a replacement quick lol). Staff was all great especially in the bar (I forget his name, but the guy with the short hair and glasses is awesome.)

Ventilation très bruyante dans la chambre, on gèle et pas de contrôle sur le chauffage ni pour l’arrêter. Je demande à la réception ce qu’ils peuvent faire, ils me disent « rien » et ne me proposent pas un changement de chambre. On se couche, puis vers minuit, le détecteur de fumée sonne aux 10 secondes, il faut changer la pile. J’appelle à la réception, ils me répondent qu’ils ne peuvent rien faire, car le monsieur est seul en avant. Ils me disent qu’ils peuvent me donner une autre chambre, il est minuit, je suis seule avec ma fille et elle dort. Je dois insister pour qu’on m’apporte une pile. Service vraiment très ordinaire. Bref, nous avons gelé dans notre chambre et très peu dormi.

Although the staff was kind and courteous, overall I wouldn't return to this hotel. I travel all over the world and this was the first time I ever experienced housekeeping not cleaning the room on a daily basis. When they actually came to clean the room the bed sheets were not changed and the dirtly towels were left in the bathtub which confirms that the bathroom wasn't cleaned as well. The restaurant closes early before dinner and remains closed all day Monday of every week. Disappointed experience.

We picked this hotel because it was pet friendly, had a pool and was on our way through quebec. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway with many amenities around it. The day before check in I receive an email asking to check in to speed up the process upon arrival. A hold of $300 was put on my credit card. The next day I received the same email. Thinking the previous one didn’t work, I repeated the process and another hold of $300 was placed on my card. As well as a $100 hold. Upon arriving at the hotel, check in wasn’t just a matter of picking up keys like stated on the early check in site. There was still a form to sign agreeing to the rules and info for your car as well as having to take payment. I had read previous reviews of rooms having a bed and bowls for their dog. That was not the case for our room. As previous reviews stated the beds are very hard, but we were willing to look past that for the pool. The pool was a good temperature and was a nice treat for our child. Staff was very friendly and would return just because of that. The Starbucks in the hotel is a bonus.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have no complaints other than the bathroom being way too small and the vanity sink being in the hallway, which is extremely inconvenient. Also, only two bath towels were provided - we would need at least 4 for a one night stay. The room was clean and the bedding and bed very good and the front desk service was excellent.

The restaurant was not able to handle breakfast for a large group. I would not recommend this hotel for a group meeting due to this problem. It was serious. I stood at the door for 15 minutes before being seated, it took 30 minutes before being asked for the order. I had prepared for breakfast, but decided to have toast and coffee because it was getting too late for me to get to my meeting.

Very accommodating and super helpful staff. Nice and quiet, and dogs were not a problem. Some of the design features leave you wondering about the designer - like the bathroom sink and mirror. Both were built for someone about 8 feet tall. Easy parking. Starbucks in the lobby. Close to lots of restaurants - oooh yeah - skip the hotel restaurant. $22 for two sad little waffles in the middle of the plate. Even the wait staff was embarrassed to present it. But overall - would happily stay there again.

We stopped at Le Dauphin for an overnight. We took the online special and it was a basement room with an eye height window on the parking lot. The room was clean but very, very dated. I imagine they have nicer rooms. In addition, one lamp was broken and one lamp missing a light bulb. One reason we chose Le Dauphin was their top rated restaurant but it was not open as it was a Monday. We have stayed many times at Le Dauphin in downtown Montreal so our expectations were high.

Check-in was not available until an hour later than promised. Bathroom was not clean. Shower and toilet areas were not sanitary at joints and near floor. Rooms were not cleaned through the stay and group was not pre-advised of this. Bathroom was excessively small and did not have a sink. In order to wash up in the morning it was not possible to interfere with the sleep of the others in the room.

I do not recommend this hotel. In our particular room the floorboards were so cracked my daughter kept tripping and hurting her toes. The “window” looked LITERALLY onto the pool deck, as in when we opened the curtains someone was standing less than a foot from us looking right at us. The pool was so noisy it was impossible to put my two children to bed at a time that was anything remotely reasonable. The pull out couch was so incredibly old and beaten there is no way a human could sleep on it. Very very disappointed for 200$/night.
